In the heart of summer, the glaciers of Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso offer the opportunity to navigate rivers with good water levels! The Dora Baltea and the Grand Eyvia are renowned (or secret!) courses for their water volumes!
This kayaking trip will be a chance to experience the “volume” of the Dora Baltea and to discover the countless alpine sections of the Grand Eyvia… under the summer sun!
Stage Program
- Meet at the base camp “Les Vagues à Bonds” and set up at the campsite (contact us for details)
- Handling the kayaks and equipment
- First navigation to assess each participant’s level
- Observation of water movements and line scouting
- Safety arrangements and group organization on alpine and high-volume courses
- Techniques specific to navigating high-volume rivers (posture, timing…)
- Surfing, fun, and discovery of new courses!
What to bring
- Camping equipment: mattress, sleeping bag… we recommend staying at the campsite Home – Camping Arvier Valle d’Aosta.
- Meals can be shared collectively, depending on individual preferences
