Base camp:

“Les Vagues à Bonds” in L’Argentière-la-Bessée, then bivouac on the Ubaye and Verdon rivers

Course schedule:

DAY 1:

Meeting at 6:00 p.m. at L’Argentière-les-Écrins train station, transfer to Hôtel de la Mairie

DAY 2:

Breakfast at the hotel

Transfer to Les Vagues à Bonds base

Equipment familiarization and adjustments

Assessment and group organization paddle on the Durance

DAY 3:

Breakfast at the camp, packing up the bivouac

Full-day paddle on the Guil

Transfer to bivouac

Camp setup and shared dinner

DAY 4:

Breakfast at the camp, packing up the bivouac

Full-day paddle on the Ubaye

Transfer to bivouac

Camp setup and shared dinner

DAY 5:

Breakfast at the camp, packing up the bivouac

Full-day paddle on the Ubaye

Transfer to bivouac

Camp setup and shared dinner

DAY 6:

Breakfast at the camp, packing up the bivouac

Full-day paddle on the Verdon

Return to L’Argentière-la-Bessée

Closing dinner

Overnight at the hotel

DAY 7:

Departure, June 21, 9:00 a.m. at L’Argentière-les-Écrins train station

The course includes:

Self-guided option:

• Navigation equipment (high river kayaks among current models, paddles, individual gear: spraydeck, buoyancy aid, wetsuit…), available for rent — contact us for available models
• Guiding: 4–5 hours of on-water navigation per day, and 8–10 hours for the Verdon descent (max 5 participants per guide)

+ All-inclusive package:

• Accommodation at Hôtel de la Mairie with breakfast for nights 1 and 6 in a double room (2 single beds)
• Tents and sleeping mats for nights 2, 3, 4, and 5 (bring your own sleeping bag)
• Meals: breakfast, packed lunch for the day, and dinner included except for dinners 1 and 6
• Transfers from the hotel to paddling locations

You should bring:

• Your personal navigation equipment
• Your camping gear (we can provide tents upon request)
• Dinners for nights 1 and 6 (restaurants nearby are available)
